It is the most stable river in the world; it leads to the great lakes reaching into the heart of the Continent; its eastern section as far as Montreal is fit for ocean-going vessels. With the St Lawrence Parks Commission’s Upper Canada Village, numerous camp grounds and beaches, tens of thousands of people come to our area each summer. Many local businesses benefit from the influx of tourist each summer.
